April 11, 2026, Mother Paul Justine Smets was born in 1927 in Emblem, Lierre (Belgium). She entered Soleilmont Abbey in 1953 and made her solemn vows in 1958. She was the abbess of Soleilmont from 1989 to 2003, and the Superior of the foundation Ananda Matha in India from 2003 to 2011. Mother was 98 years old and had 71 years of monastic profession when the Lord called her.
