May 9, 2026, Sister Maria Fides Mieda Saeko was born in 1929 in Nagasaki Prefecture (Japan). She entered Tenshien Abbey in 1946 and made her solemn vows in 1953. She joined the group of the foundation of Shindenbaru in 1953, then in 1985 Shindenbaru has been relocated to Imari. Sister was 96 years old and had 77 years of monastic profession when the Lord called her.
