On February 1, 2026, Dom Vincent Rogers, abbot of Spencer and Father Immediate of Azul, appointed Fr. Rubén Lacón as superior ad nutum of Azul.
Dom Rubén was born in Mendoza, Argentina in 1958. He entered the community of Azul in 1985, where he made his solemn profession in 1991, and was ordained a priest in 2018.
This appointment brings to an end the service of Br. Mario Arredondo, superior ad nutum of the community since December 2024.
