San Isidro
December 13, 2019 2:30 pmDecember 12, 2019: Father Manuel Pérez García-Cervino was born in 1923 in Alba del Tormes (Spain). He entered San Isidro in 1949, made his solemn profession in 1954 and was ordained a priest in 1957.
Father Manuel was abbot of San Isidro from 1971 to 1982 and Vice-Postulator for the Cause of Brother Rafael from 1989 to 1997. He had been in both foundations of San Isidro in Jacona (Mexico, 1986-1989) and in Paraiso (Ecuador, 1997-2007) and returned to San Isidro in 2007. Father Manuel was 96 years old, had been in monastic vows for 68 years and 62 years a priest when the Lord called him.
