Founded by Tilburg in 1900 with the rank of priory; raised to the rank of abbey 1938.
History

1899, 2 November: the first monks arrive with Dom Nivardus Muis as superior.

1900, 24 May: regular life begins.

1902: Dom Nivardus leaves for Charneux.

1909, June-November: the community is at Westmalle.

1923: consecration of the church.

1952: The abbey lends 10 monks to Oelenberg.
