Origine

Founded 1134; re-established 1794 by la Val-Sainte in Lulworth, England. Erected as priory 1810. Erected as abbey 31 July 1814. Transfer from Lulworth to Melleray 7 August 1817.
Histoire
Fondation en 1134.
Consécration de l'église en 1183.
Restauré par La Val-Sainte à Lulworth en Octobre 1794.
Erection en Prieuré: 1810 (Mais prieuré dans le genre de D. Augustin de Lestrange qui se réservait le gouvernement)
Erection en Abbaye le 31 Juillet 1814 par Beneplacitum du S. Siège.
1947: Apport d'un groupe de religieux de Timadeuc.
