Orígenes
Founded by Spencer (“the Valley”) at Pecos NM in 1948; raised to the status of abbey in 1950; transferred to Oregon in 1955.
Historia
1951: El 24 de enero, bendición del primer abad.
1952: El Capítulo General da su autorización para trasladarse a otra parte, dado que la Comunidad no puede garantizar su subsistencia en el lugar.
1953: Compra de una propiedad en Oregon.?1954: Arreglo de la propiedad y del monasterio provisional. ?1955: El 1 marzo, traslado de la Comunidad a Oregon en avión.
1970: Nuevas industrias: Encuadernación y carpintería.
1977: Bendición de las nuevas instalaciones en la hospedería.
1981: Nueva industria: dulces de fruta.
1992: Terminación de la sala de meditación: La Casa de Betania.
1994: Nueva industria: Bodega
2007: El 8 de diciembre, bendición de la nueva iglesia.

Bookbinding, forestry, fruitcakes, wine shop.
Hospedaje
5 cottages (double occupancy): four are used for retreatants and 1 for monks’ families. The guests eat in the dining room of the old guesthouse and are served the same food as the monks. Individual retreats are normally for one week. A group retreat is organized once per month.
