April 12, 2024: Brother Sebaldus Blätzer was born in 1939 in Nuremberg (Germany). He entered Mariawald in 1959 and made his solemn profession in 1965. After the suppression of Mariawald in 2018, he moved to Heimbach and then changed his stability to Tilburg in 2024. Brother was 85 years old and had been in monastic vows for 61 years when the Lord called him.

Mother Liliana Schiano Moriello Scutiero completed her first six-year term as Prioress of Boa Vista (Diocese of Joinville, Brazil).

On 10 April 2024, the community of Boa Vista elected Mother Liliana as Titular Prioress for a new term of six-year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April 05, 2024: Sister Marie-Stella Wayezu Mukagatare was born in 1965 in the Republic of Congo. She entered La Clarté-Dieu in 1988 and made her solemn profession in 1995. Dom André Barbeau, superior and abbot of Aiguebelle from 1996 to 2006, and abbot of Oka/ Val Notre-Dame (Diocese of Joliette, Canada) since 2008, presented his resignation to the Abbot General for health reasons (St. 40). With the consent of his Council, the Abbot General accepted it and it became effective on 31 March 2024.

On 3 April 2004, Dom Jean-Marc Chéné, abbot of Bellefontaine and Father Immediate of Val Notre-Dame, appointed Dom Clément Charbonneau superior ad nutum of the community.

Dom Clément was superior ad nutum of Mistassini from 2010 to 2016, then abbot from 2017 to 2023. When the suppression of Mistassini was voted in 2023, he came to Val Notre-Dame and regained his stability.

March 17, 2024: Sister Teresa Mahoney was born in 1936 in Bronx, New York (USA). She entered Wrentham in 1957 and made her commitment as an Oblate in the Community in 1966. Sister was 88 years old and had been an Oblate for 64 years when the Lord called her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On 16 March 2024, Mother Gratia Adler completed her second term of six years as abbess of Maria Frieden (Diocese of Aachen, Germany). On the same day, she was re-elected Abbess of the Community for an indefinite term.
