12 June 2012: Father Andrew Ward was born in Aberdeen (Scotland) on 13th June 1920.  He entered Mount Melleray in August 1939 and was sent to the recently founded Mellifont in July 1942 – less than a year after his first profession.  Father was just one day short of his 92nd birthday when he died.  He had been in monastic vows for 71 years and a priest for 65 years.
