February 25, 2012 : Mother Maria del Sagrado Corazón Gutiérrez Esteban was born in 1911 in El Ajo (Spain). She entered Ávila in 1939 and made her solemn profession in 1944. Mother Maria was Abbess of Ávila from 1956 to 1968. She was 100 years and 10 months  old and had been in monastic vows for 70 years when the Lord called her.
