Mellifont
August 4, 2016 8:12 amAugust 4, 2016: Father Laurence McDermott was born in 1929 in Dublin (Ireland). He entered Mellifont in 1947, made his solemn profession in 1952 and was ordained a priest in 1954. He was superior ad nutum at Mellifont from 2011-12, during which time he attended the General Chapter at Assisi. Father was 87 years old, had been in monastic vows for 66 years and 62 years a priest when the Lord called him.
